Create and deliver customized insights at scale

The previous "Data Boost" screen just got a makeover!

✔️ Deliver customized insights tailored to specific recipients and their most relevant business use cases

✔️ Add multiple insights using the template and adjust them in a click of a button

Access the new Insight screen by clicking the "Deliver" button located in the Dashboard and Content tabs (see images below)

How to create multiple insights:

  1. Under Recipients customization, choose the second option to create a template.

ℹ️ Choosing this option means you don’t need to add recipients now, you will add them per customized insight

  2. Set a default trigger or skip the step and define a trigger per customized insight

  3. Create the insight template's message

  4. Click the '+' button to create you first customized insight

  5. Select a recipient / a group of recipients

  6. Customize the trigger, message, actions or optional filters

ℹ️ After creation, customized insights will only inherit changes, made to the template, in sections that weren't overridden (e.g. if you changed the filter section in customized insight A, then modified the filter section in the insight template, insight A will not inherit the change)

May 2023

Support for filters with multiple values

When applying filters to your data alerts (trigger and metrics in your alert message), you can now select multiple values per filter

Values will be displayed in the editor section of your Data Boost and in the Slack message details sent to recipients.

Functions with a condition

Easily add a condition to functions in order to deliver more specific insights to your colleagues. This allows you to further limit the data returned by a function, based on the dimensions or measures in the chart underlying the function. This condition only applies to the function output. Any filters applied to the entire alert will also impact the function output.

By clicking on the "Download to CSV" button, you can even download the full list of user reactions.

Date trigger on any change in a specific metric

You can now create a notification based on any change in a specific metric when creating a notification. It is extremely useful when tracking a forecasted number or the distance from a goal. Rupert will send a notification only if the metric changes, without requiring a threshold.

In order to create this type of notification, click "Promote" on any asset, select "Data trigger" as your trigger, and then "Any change" as the condition.

June 2022

Slack notifications triggered by changes in the data

These notifications are triggered only when there's a change in the data, according to a specific condition you pre-define.

This is a great way to celebrate goals and achievements, track KPIs and send alerts when important metrics change, for good and for bad.

This is what they look like:

Creating one is really easy:

  1. Choose a report in Rupert that you want to promote and click on the Promote button

  2. Choose the trigger for your message

  3. Select "Data trigger" to define the metric that will trigger the notification, the condition in which it'll trigger, and even the frequency in which Rupert will check the data.

  4. Once defined, the user or channel that you selected for the notification will receive an alert, letting them know they're going to get these messages.

  5. All the data-triggered notifications that were created can be found at the bottom of the Rupert dashboard. Hovering over any of them will let you edit, delete, and even download an event log of all the times Rupert checked the metric and its results. This log is a great way for you to track any metric you care about regardless.
