Maintain a seamless workflow across Rupert and Jira without manually updating information in multiple places!

In this article we are going to cover the following topics:

Steps to Connect Jira

1. Manage sources screen

Head over to the Manage Sources screen by clicking the icon located on the left sidebar (see image below).

Under the New Source tab, click the connect icon on the right side of the Jira logo.

2. Confirmation screen

You'll be redirected to another screen to confirm the connection.

3. Define default projects to display

After the connection is confirmed you'll be redirected back to Rupert to select default projects.

❗This is an important step, from here you can control and limit the projects your users can use to open new tickets via the Slack app.

Manage your Jira connection

To manage your Rupert connection to Jira, click the Manage sources tab located on the left side bar. Here you can:

1. Detach your Jira account from your Rupert one

Detaching the source, will also delete the source credentials and detach all existing requests and threads from the Jira tickets linked to them.

2. Edit the default Jira projects

Default projects allows you to control where users can open new Jira tickets via the Slack app and the Tasks tab.

3. Refresh token

Will require reconfirmation to allow Rupert to access you Jira account.
Should only be done when prompt to.
