All assets imported from your connected BI / DWH sources can be used to create actionable alerts for you organization

In this article, we are going to cover the following topics:

BI assets

Come from the source BI tool you and your team connected to Rupert.

Next to each asset you can see:

  • The asset creator / owner in Rupert

  • The number of times used (engagement) - number of times viewed in the source BI tool in the last 90 days
ℹ️ Editors and Managers views are excluded, so the data team's views are not displayed

  • A preview of its assets in the right pane (e.g. an image, a link to the asset in the BI tool, data source, description coming from the source tool, and when it was last indexed by Rupert)

All assets are indexed and synced to their source hourly by Rupert, so they are always up to date.

SQL assets (queries)

SQL assets are added to the "Assets" tab in two ways:

  1. Extracted from your data warehouse’s history logs automatically

  2. Queries you and your team created in Rupert. Create a new asset using the New SQL Asset button located in the "Assets" tab or from the alert creator itself

Next to each asset you can see:

  • The asset creator / owner in Rupert

  • A preview of its assets in the right pane (e.g., the SQL query, data source, description and parameters)
