Easily search and use data assets from all your connected data sources (e.g. BI tools and DWH). Rupert helps you swiftly create and send alerts, track engagement and increase actionability, all in one place. All you need to do is connect your sources.

In this article, we are going to cover the following topics:

What you can see in the Assets tab's main view

This is a view of all your cataloged assets. Each type of asset has different usage permissions for End Users. Desk users have full access and ability to work with these assets and use them to resolve End Users’ data requests.

  • Verified assets - These are assigned with an owner who will be responsible for their maintenance and revalidation. Verified BI assets get priority in syncs and image updates. Learn more about how to Verify an Asset

  • Unverified assets - The default status of all assets when imported from the data source

The Right Pane - Asset Preview

When hovering over an asset, you will see more details about the asset (e.g. data source, parameters, a preview image), its documentation, and usage activity.

On hover you will see the "Create alert" button.

Assets’ location

All assets in the "Assets" tab will also include their location path displayed in the following format:

The name of the BI / DWH tool > source name > folder or project name

(e.g. where the asset is located in the source)

To find assets located in a specific folder or project you can (1) order by location (2) filter by location:

  1. Go to the “Order By” dropdown menu, and pick “Location” (assets will be ordered in an ascending order by default)

  2. Click the filter icon, then scroll to the “Location” section
